Catalog and store development for a Dutch professional tools retailer

Overview

Superhandig.nl sells tools, workwear and chemicals to tradespeople, carrying brands like FORMAT, Wera and Knipex, each with its own attributes. We built the catalog and commerce layer: attribute filtering, live stock, and B2B support alongside retail.

Tradespeople buying in bulk and retail customers browsing one or two items land on the same catalog, so the store carries both a free-quote workflow for B2B buyers and a standard checkout for retail — with the same attribute-driven filtering by brand, tool category and material serving both audiences without forking the product data.

What this covered

  • Multi-brand catalog with attribute-based filtering (tool type, size, material) across dozens of product lines
  • A free-quote request flow for bulk B2B orders — build a cart, get a priced PDF offer, convert it straight into an order — running alongside the standard one-click retail checkout
  • Live stock feed synced from the wholesale distributor's warehouse system, so the catalog only ever shows what can actually ship today
  • A customer review and trust-score widget pulled live from an external reviews platform and surfaced in the header, instead of a hand-maintained testimonials block
  • A WhatsApp chat entry point wired to support staff for quick stock or compatibility questions mid-browse

They know our catalogue almost as well as we do. Changes that used to take weeks now ship in days.
