Name personalisation built into the product page, cart, and production handoff for a baby and kids gifting retailer

Overview

My 1st Years sells personalised baby and kids gifts where free embroidery is the reason people buy. We built the personalisation flow — input, preview, and handoff into production — so every order prints right the first time.

Every personalised item carries a name, a placement, and sometimes a font choice that has to survive from product page to cart to the production queue without getting mismatched — the kind of detail that's invisible when it works and very visible, like a misspelled name on a baby gift, when it doesn't.

What this covered

  • Personalisation step on the product page — name entry, placement choice, and a live preview carried accurately through to checkout
  • Cart and order logic that keeps personalisation data attached to the correct line item through to the production and embroidery handoff
  • Seasonal collection builds, including Christmas, with their own personalisation variants and gift-oriented merchandising
  • A live Trustpilot review feed embedded on category and product pages, not a static testimonials block
  • Gift-box and gift-wrap upsell at checkout tied to the same personalisation data, so the box matches the engraved or embroidered item inside

Personalisation is the whole business for us. Flexor built it so it just works, order after order.
